Being on-site as often as possible during construction is critical in ensuring the design is being implemented as intended.  This role has become more important as many clients choose to limit the design to Schematic, which doesn’t offer the extensive detail of a Construction Document.  It may seem cost effective in the beginning, but when drawings are up for interpretation by contractors it can cost much more in the long run.  In unique situations, LDS has pulled together trusted contractors and labor, negotiated prices for the Client, and run the project.  These “hands on” projects were some of the most successful, primarily because the Architect that envisioned the design was there to help it become a reality.
